Learners will gain a better understanding of the issues and variables engaged in decision making within the United States Legal System, the complexity of thought and consideration surrounding the application of the United States Constitution and the challenges of lawyers and justices in their loyalty to their respective roles within the United States Justice system.  Learners will leave with greater knowledge of the substantive law as well as a greater understanding of legal reasoning in determining case outcomes.  

I am a human rights lawyer who has practiced law for over a decade. I am also a law professor who was a participant in moot courts as a student and has been a judge in international moot court competitions for the past 8 years.

Learners will need to work each week on their argumentation, reviewing the facts of the case to develop arguments and questions necessary for Court.  2 to 3 hours of preparation each week will likely be necessary.
