I will give your child an introduction to the art of ventriloquism. I will help the class members learn how to hold the mouth to make it look natural but with room for sound to come out. I will show the effectiveness of misdirection as in looking at the puppet when it is talking and then let the learners do the same. We will also get into some comedic techniques such as the double take and the ventriloquist's own expressions. In addition to ventriloquism, your child will also get some tips in basic puppetry. Your child will learn by doing, so a puppet with a movable mouth is advantageous. If you don't have one, we can just use a hand.

It would be helpful to have a puppet with a movable mouth. If you don't have one, we can improvise with just using the hand or a sock. You may want to have pencil and paper for taking notes.
