マクベス：シェイクスピアを恐れない - 一緒に声に出して読みましょう

We will read together the Shakespeare play, "Macbeth" from a text called "No Fear Shakespeare" which has the modern plain English version on one side and the Shakespearean 'original' version on the other side. The "No Fear" book also provides some study helps that a student might find useful, and we may look through those to develop some discussion points as we read the text.
Our schedule will look something like this:
Week 1: Intro to story and characters
              Understanding how plays are different than other texts
              Read Act 1 together
Week 2: Read Act 2 together
               Discuss the events/any predictions for characters, etc.
Week 3: Read and Discuss Act 3
Week 4: Read and Discuss Act 4
Week 5: Read and Discuss Act 5 and ending.
Week 6: Talk about themes of story and answer some open-ended questions from the study guide.
                Themes include:  Tyranny vs Power to Rule(kingship), hallucination vs. reality, desire/ambition vs. inherited power, 
                cruelty vs. masculinity, victimization versus playing the victim, etc.
