Throughout our time together, we will dive deep into the world of empathy, compassion, and understanding. We will be reading a book about kindness called "Showing Kindness" by Pamela Williams and talking about what it means to be kind. 
We will sing a song about kindness sung to the tune "If You're Happy and You Know It".
 We will also play a thumbs up and thumbs down game on "Being Kind or Not Being Kind". 
We will then do an activity with our cut out paper hearts and find out what happens to our own heart and other's hearts when we are not kind. Can we ever get all the wrinkles out of our hearts?
Each student will need a paper heart cut out for this class. (Big enough to put many folds in.)
