In this 30 minute, one-time, teacher led class we will play with basic 2D shapes. Shapes we will cover in this class are circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, octagon, star, diamond and heart. We will read a book on shapes called "Shapes in Our World" by Pamela Williams. We will sing songs about shapes including "The Shapes are on the Board" and "One Blue Square" We will look at tangram animals and decide where a shape is located near each animal.
