In one on one guitar lessons with Loralee, you will learn or improve on a variety of guitar techniques like these:

- The anatomy of the guitar, names of strings and how to tune
- How to read guitar tablature or sheet music
- How to strum and create varying strumming patterns
- Fingerpicking
- How to play guitar chords and read chord charts
- Music theory, scales and proper guitar technique
- How to play the songs you love!

The lessons are split into two sections - one focused on tablature/fingerpicking/note driven music, and the other on learning chords and strumming. Students pick the songs they would like to learn and I cater the difficulty towards their skill level. 

I believe it's an important motivator to play the music that you love, rather than to let a curriculum, dictate what you should be learning! That's why I keep my private lessons flexible and fun.
