Week of June 16 - 20: Sentence structure: Understanding the structure of a sentence (subject, verb, object) and how to form complete sentences.

Week of June 23 - 27:  Punctuation: Proper use of punctuation marks such as periods, question marks, and exclamation points.

Week of June 30 - July 4: Capitalization: Knowing when and how to capitalize proper nouns, the first word of a sentence, and the pronoun "I."

Week of July 7 - 11: Tenses - Understanding the different verb tenses (past, present, future) and using them correctly.

Week of July 14 - 18: Subject-verb agreement - Ensuring that the subject and verb in a sentence agree in number and person.

Week of July 21 - 25: Quotation marks.

Week of July 28 - August 1: Contractions - Understanding and using contractions appropriately (e.g., can't, don't, it's).

Week of August 4 - 8: Prepositions – Understanding and using prepositional phrases to add detail to sentences.

Week of August 11 - 15: Compound and Complex Sentences – Learning how to combine sentences using conjunctions (and, but, because, so).

Week of August 18 -22: Homophones and Commonly Confused Words – Distinguishing between words like their/there/they’re and too/to/two.
