I teach a little about the land of Scotland, history, wildlife then focus on unique words and sayings. I use flash cards with words and pictures to illustrate the words and expressions then play a pelmanism game with the kids to help them remember. Then we go into learning the first stanza of Rabbie Burns`famous poem - `To a mouse` This is a fun class as children are helped to say colloquial expressions and prepare for a trip to Bonny Scotland.

They will learn unique words from Scotland, animals and wildlife native to The British isles. They will also learn the meter of poetry and the humanity and compassion for nature that the poet had.The children will learn the game of pelmanism, a very useful learning and study preparation tool.その他の情報
