This class is a fun way to get students excited for Christmas! Holiday wear such as fun shirts, headbands or necklaces is encouraged but not mandatory. In this class we will begin by introducing ourselves and getting to know each other. (Students are encouraged to speak but it is not mandatory.) Students will have the chance to decorate gingerbread cookies or houses while we read an interactive gingerbread holiday story together. We will share ideas on creative ways to decorate our treats and encourage each other to use imagination and creativity! Students will also get to hear some favorite holiday songs and get to know each other! At the end students will have a chance to show off their creations. Each student will receive an award for something unique about their creations! This class is meant to be relaxed and fun! I keep my classes positive and everyone will be encouraged to say only positive things about each other’s creations. I want to build a community of kindness and caring within my class settings.

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
