In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to find equivalent fractions to a given fraction, as well as to simplify given fractions into their smallest form. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using prime factorization and multiplication/division will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a good knowledge of the multiplication factors and number factors before taking this class.
