In this ongoing book club, learners will read and discuss a Roald Dahl book each week developing their comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and more! Discover the adventures of James, the Enormous Crocodile and others together! ESL friendly. Week Beginning 3/2/2025 - Danny, Champion of the World Week Beginning 10/2/2025 - Matilda Week Beginning 17/2/2025 - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Week Beginning 24/2/2025 - The Witches Week Beginning 3/3/2025 - The Twits Week Beginning 10/3/2025 - Fantastic Mr. Fox Week Beginning 17/3/2025 - George’s Marvellous Medicine Week Beginning 24/3/2025 - Esio Trot Week Beginning 31/3/2025 - The BFG Week Beginning 7/4/2025 - James and the Giant Peach Week Beginning 14/4/2025 - The Giraffe Week Beginning 21/4/2025 - Boy Week Beginning 28/4/2025 - Magic Finger Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
受講に必要なもの
Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
