このクラスで学べること
This camp course meets every weekday for two weeks/ten days . This camp requires a bit more "after camp" work than the "Structures" Camp. Students need to be committed to completing projects before the next day and should expect about 1-2 hours of work after class. Class Schedule: Greetings Each week students will share what they did after class the previous week. Lesson/Discussion about the "room of the day". (What is needed, what to include etc..) Images of possibilities Discussion of...
Students will learn more about the art of designing homes. Students will learn presentation skills. Students will learn to embrace each other's ideas and goals. Students will learn to work on projects from three directions: plans, models and design boards.
Mrs. G. (a homeschooling mom since 1997) has taught this course along with many architecture, piano, writing, art, theater and photography courses in the online format since 2009.
宿題が提供されます
Goals begun each week and finished before the next meeting: 1. An "interior design board" of the "room of the week" 2. A grid drawn plan of the "room of the week" 3. Students may build their room with Legos, Minecraft or physical materials.授業以外に週あたり 1 - 2 時間の学習が期待されます
評価が提供されます
Mrs. G. will review student work in writing, if they turn it in to the Outschool Format. Students will also receive verbal comments and reviews about their work as they present their project. (Students are not required to present their work but are encouraged:).成績が提供されます
Students may choose how they would like to present their room interior design boards. (These may be presented on poster board, or even on regular paper in a 3-ring notebook). Some students might want a 3-fold presentation board for each area (or for excerpts of their entire home design as part of their last day presentations. Students may use any materials they wish above and beyond: Graph paper Templates provided by the teacher with each lesson Glue Sticks Scissors Students may use Legos, Minecraft or Physical materials (cardboard, poster board (Like Lesson 4 of Arch Rocks) to "Build" their dream homes. Students would do best to have a physical home furnishings catalog or magazine to cut up and glue stick their interior room choices to their design "boards". To obtain a physical catalog, you could go to or contact a local Ikea store or ask that they mail you one:). Other physical catalogs, magazines or ads will work too. Students who are old enough, could "shop" the ikea online store and then print out their "cart" in color if at all possible. (https://onlinecatalogue.ikea.com/US/en/IKEA_Catalogue/#/pages/1)

Students will be asked to use basic art supplies and tools such as scissors, glue, toothpicks and paper clips. Students will also be asked to find and print images of interior furnishings that they would like to use in their dream homes. These could come from books, magazines or newspaper ads. Some students may use the internet to "shop" for furniture, but all internet usage should follow the student's family's internet guidelines.
