このクラスで学べること
In this multi-day course, students will learn how to draw rooms and cityscapes using 1 point to 5 point perspective. I.e., M.C. Escher's crystal ball. During class students will draw along with the teacher to create their images using rulers and basic measurements. Each week we will be meeting once for an hour at a time beginning the class by studying images and examples of different perspective drawings. After looking at examples and getting a walk through of what is to expect for the day, we will create a few practice drawings before jumping into our own designs; whether that be a room or a city-scape using the perspective discussed that week. This is a fast paced class and it is understandable if students have a hard time with creating their drawing, but I will be there to walk them through the whole way! Below are the dates and subjects that we will be working on for the 5 weeks. Week 1: 1 Point Perspective/ Drawing the students dream bedroom Week 2: 2 Point Perspective/ Drawing a city street Week 3: 3 Point Perspective/ Drawing a building from street level Week 4: 4 Point Perspective/ Drawing a beginning fish-eye-view of a city Week 5: 5 Point Perspective/ Drawing full fish-eye-view of a city

学士号 University of Wyoming から 音楽、演劇、芸術 へ
Hello,
My name is Ms. Elizabeth Suriani, and I am a full-time artist from Northern Colorado. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in Art History in 2016. While at the University of Wyoming I primarily studied 2D art style, including oil painting and print making. I also studied in Florence, Italy during the fall of 2015 where I studied architectural and figurative drawing, as well as fresco restoration.
Since 2015 I have been teaching art and art history to students ranging from ages 5-17 years old with lessons ranging from basic instructions, all the way to advanced classes and color theory for older students. I love teaching art and am currently teaching two international students in Italy and Thailand.
I have recently returned home from teaching English as a second language in Bangkok, Thailand with students aging from 2-16 years old. I loved working with my students and miss them dearly.
On top of being a full-time artist, I have also started my own jewelry business, as well as teaching English Language to children in China!
When teaching, I love to keep things fun and light. I believe that seriousness doesn’t do a young mind any good when learning art at an early age, it tends to discourage them instead. I want to help my students find art or anything they are passionate about and feel like they have a space to ask questions, experiment, and flourish.
I can’t wait to see you in class!
