This course will cover the second semester of college prep, Common Core Algebra 2. Students completing the entire course will be ready to move onto Functions, Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus. This is a teacher lead, interactive class; I will present the lesson and we will practice together. My goal is to build a classroom community where students are comfortable asking questions and commenting as I believe this drives the learning for the whole cohort. Each lesson will include a presentation of the topics being covered and time for the students to practice together/independently on the content. I work to be readily available to all of my student's questions/concerns during and outside of our scheduled class time. Students interested in enrolling in this class should have completed the entire first semester of an Algebra 2 course and be proficient with the content. The topics covered (dates coincide with the section beginning the week of January 8th,2024, other sections will be ahead/behind according to the start date)(schedule will be modified to accommodate holidays and student/teacher's schedule as possible): Week of 1-8-24: Data analysis and Statistics Week of 1-15: Data analysis and Statistics continued Week of 1-22: Sequences and Series Week of 1-29: Sequences and Series continued Week of 2-5: Quadratic Relations and Conic Sections Week of 2-12: Quadratic Relations and Conic Sections continued Week of 2- 19: Quadratic Relations and Conic Sections continued Week of 2-26: Trigonometric Ratios and Functions Week of 3-5: Trigonometric Ratios and Functions continued Week of 3-12: Trigonometric Graphs, Identities and Equations Week of 3-19: Trigonometric Graphs, Identities and Equations continued Week of 3- 26: Trigonometric Graphs, Identities and Equations continued
