"It was a dark and stormy night. "Out of this wild night, a strange visitor comes to the Murry house and beckons Meg, her brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin O'Keefe on a most dangerous and extraordinary adventure - one that will threaten their lives and our universe". -- Citation Provided Below! Come join us on this grand adventure as we travel the universe to defend good from evil. We will read the novel and be discussing it in class as part of a novel study in Socratic Seminar fashion paired with historical, cultural, and scientific inquiries. Together, we will be learning about the deeper aspects of the story through connections, mini-research activities, and investigations of the connections that we discover as we uncover the mysteries of time, the universe, and the human spirit. Below is a weekly schedule for the class. While the topics will be covered throughout the novel study, the week that we discuss them might vary depending on the student discussions that we have as I strive to follow student interests and needs in our class. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out and ask! I have been teaching in public schools in Missouri and Colorado and have taught on Outschool for a couple of years now. A Wrinkle in Time is something that I have taught to many students before in Socratic Seminar format and as part of a novel study. In addition, I have taught the novel in the following class that parents are encouraged to look at to see how my classes are run to understand the format and setting of the class!
