Topics covered include creating a thesis, organization, persuasive writing techniques, and proofreading ideas. In writing persuasive essays, topics will involve perspectives and opinions. Topics will be related to student interests and activities. In the event that current events becomes the topic of discussion (which can involve political perspectives), the instructors goal is to support argumentation and writing technique to help that student (and others) refine their skills.
