Week 1Lesson 1Crafting Strong Thesis Statements and ClaimStudents will learn to craft nuanced and compelling thesis statements and develop robust claims while using evidence effectively and balancing multiple perspectives.Lesson 2Advanced Organizational StructuresStudents will explore and apply advanced organizational techniques to structure their essays effectively including comparing structures such as classical, Toulmin, and Rogerian.Lesson 3Delivering Sophisticated Arguments and IdeasStudents will compare various forms of evidence, and learn how to deliver more complex ideas and sound arguments.Lesson 4Mastering the Revision ProcessStudents will learn effective revision techniques to polish their essays including enhancing style and tone of voice, transitions, signposting, coherence and cohesion.
