JUNE & JULY Summer Camp Painting weekly options
 
This Summer ongoing subscription art club allows students to explore easy painting projects in a low-pressure, student-centered environment. Each week students will complete a different painting with step-by-step teacher guidance. Students are encouraged to add their own unique flair to each project through color choices and other project variations.

No previous painting experience is required. This painting club will offer easy painting options that do not require a traceable, or initial drawing. The background will be a great place to practice blending, then the student will learn how to draw the subject with a brush and will practice on a scrap sheet of paper allowing the background to dry.   Then they will complete the final steps on their canvas. 

This weekly class is 55 mins. 

For the painting demonstrations,  Lovejoy will utilize a "screen share" slideshow and pre-recorded video to demonstrate the steps. The slideshow is a file on canva or google drive.  (Students are not directed to any outside sources)

Supplies are pretty simple
The demonstration will utilize acrylic paint, but a student can use watercolors if they wanted

Brushes - 3 various sizes (flat & pointy)
Surface - canvas, canvas panel, watercolor paper
Size - 8x10, 9x12 or 11x14
Colors: white, black, red, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple
*specific colors and sample of the weeks painting will be posted prior to class

Scrap sheet of paper to practice design
water cup, mixing plate, paper towel
Apron or wear old clothes

**This is an ongoing subscription. Payment is charged each Sunday before class meets. If you aren't able to attend a week's session, you can unsubscribe before the weekend to avoid being charged for the upcoming session. you will not be charged for the weeks that I am unavailable. It isn't possible to hold your seat without payment for the week. Re-play Videos will be available for students who aren't able to attend the live class.**


Class recordings are available after processing, typically 4 hours after class ends.

*All class times are approximate. Class length varies based on student ability and the number of enrolled learners. Classes are designed so that they will not run longer than the time allotted.*

*Late/Missed Class Policy* All courses will begin on time as long as one learner is in the classroom. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit after 10 min. Class recordings are not guaranteed if no learners are present.
