Conceptos básicos del idioma serbio para principiantes (de 10 a 12 años): programa interactivo de 8 semanas

This course will introduce students to the basics of the Serbian language, focusing on essential vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills. Over 8 weeks, students will:
- Learn both Serbian alphabets (Latin and Cyrillic).
- Practice greetings, introductions, and common phrases.
- Explore topics like numbers, family, food, school, hobbies, and weather.
- Develop conversational skills through role-playing and real-life scenarios.
- Gain an understanding of Serbian culture, traditions, and customs.

Each week will cover different topics in a structured way:
- Weeks 1-2: Introduction to the alphabets and simple conversational phrases.
- Weeks 3-4: Vocabulary for numbers, time, and family.
- Weeks 5-6: Food, drink, and school-related terms.
- Weeks 7-8: Weather, seasons, and final project presentation.

The course is structured around twice-weekly lessons, each lasting 45 minutes. Every lesson will:
- Start with a recap of the previous class to reinforce learning.
- Introduce new vocabulary and grammar rules through interactive activities.
- Include speaking practice to improve pronunciation and fluency.
- End with a fun activity like a quiz, role-play, or a cultural exploration.

Over 8 weeks, students will build on their language skills progressively, with the final week focusing on reviewing what they’ve learned and creating a short project in Serbian.
  
I will use an interactive and student-centered approach:
- Active participation: Students will practice speaking Serbian in every class through conversational exercises.
- Multimedia and games: I will incorporate visuals, videos, and online games to make learning fun and engaging.
- Cultural immersion: We’ll explore Serbian traditions, food, and daily life through discussions and activities. 
The goal is to make language learning a fun, immersive experience where students feel comfortable practicing Serbian in a supportive environment.

Learners will have frequent opportunities to interact with both the teacher and their peers. Each class will feature:
- Pair  activities-  where students will practice speaking and role-playing dialogues.
- Direct interaction: I will encourage all students to ask questions and participate in discussions.
- Collaborative projects: In the final class, students will work together to present a simple dialogue or project in Serbian.

No prior experience with Serbian is necessary. This course is designed for absolute beginners. However, students should come prepared to actively participate and be ready to practice speaking during class.


The class will progress at a steady pace over the 8 weeks. Each lesson builds on the previous one, and we’ll review topics frequently to ensure retention. The pace will be adapted to the group, ensuring everyone keeps up with the material. 


If a student joins the course after the first week or two, I will provide:
- A recap of essential materials covered in the earlier sessions.
- Additional resources, such as worksheets or recordings, to help them catch up.
- A welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring the new student feels integrated with the rest of the group.

This class will offer students the chance to explore the Serbian language and culture in an engaging, interactive format. They will finish the course with newfound confidence in basic Serbian communication and a deeper appreciation for the Serbian-speaking world.
