This class is an introduction to the micro:bit, an amazing, low-cost, credit-card-sized computer that can be used in a large variety of robotics projects. But for this class, you only need a $25-$30 microbit (and USB cable).

Have you ever invested in a robot kit only to find it lacking? This series is designed to avoid that disappointment. You start with just a micro:bit, allowing learners to explore the code editor and the micro:bit's capabilities. If they enjoy it, they can then opt to purchase the Yahboom robotics kit needed for the rest of the series.

Week 1 - Intro to the micro:bit, MakeCode, and writing programs. Write a program using buttons, accelerometer, and display.
Week 2 - Programming with speaker and microphone.
Week 3 - Make a scorekeeper.
Week 4 - Program an alarm to protect something in your room.
