Tareas

1-2 horas por semana. Each week, I will post a video lesson for students to watch. Students will watch the lessons and complete the activities that follow the lesson. All information for the activities will be explained in each lesson.

Calificación

Feedback will be given to students on assignments as they are completed.

Nivel Beginner

Throughout my course, students will be looking at sounds within words, tapping them out, and blending them to learn whole words. We will discuss different spelling patterns they will find in words. Students will then take what they have learned to apply this skill when reading words within a sentence or text.

Lección 1:

Review of letters and sounds

 During this lesson, we will review our letters and the sound that each letter makes.

Lección 2:

Spelling CVC words

 Using our knowledge of letters and their sounds, students will use this to help them sound out cvc words. We will discuss what a cvc word is. Students will learn how to tap out the sounds they hear and blend the sounds together to make cvc words.

Lección 3:

Diagraphs

 Students will learn the digraphs and their sounds. With the knowledge of digraphs, students will sound out and write words with digraphs in them.

Lección 4:

Blends

 Students will learn what a blend is. With the knowledge of blends, students will sound out and write words with blends in them.

Requisitos previos

When taking this class, students should have knowledge of the sounds of each letter of the alphabet. Students may also want to have some sight word knowledge, however, sight words/high frequency words will be taught throughout the course.

Lista de útiles escolares

Students are welcome to use a white board, white board marker and white board eraser. If you do not have one at home, a paper and pencil will work out perfectly. 

I will provide all other materials that students need in our Google Classroom.
