This one on one tutoring will accelerate your learner's reading progress using the Reading Simplified Method. The lesson is kept short with a variety of activities to keep your learner engaged and moving forward. 

We will meet in class to do the following activities:
1. Phonemic awareness (From Haggerty Curriculum)
These exercises will help your learner to hear and speak the sounds within words. 

2. Word work
Your learner will practice phonics skills with Switch it, Read it, Sort it or Write it activities. Some of these activities will be done online through the zoom feature, some the students will write on their own white board or write on their own printouts.

3. Guided Reading of a printout text. 
Your learner will read the text with the teacher's assistance. Comprehension will be encouraged through summarizing and making connections questions.

4. Homework will be assigned for practice at home. Homework will include practicing the guided reading text with parents, listening to a read aloud at home or an online phonics activity.
