👋 Welcome! In this fun, interactive class, young readers ages 6-8 can explore their creativity, practice their reading skills, and enjoy building unique stories with friends! Each 45-minute session is designed to bring out the storyteller in every child, making reading and creating feel like a magical adventure.

✏️ What will be taught?
In this class, we’ll focus on storytelling, reading comprehension, and creative thinking. Learners will get hands-on experience with story-building, using their own ideas to shape characters, settings, and storylines.

📚 What topics will you cover?
Each session, we cover story structure, character creation, and reading skills. Learners will discuss themes like friendship, adventure, and teamwork, while diving into the exciting elements that make up a good story.

✅ How is your class structured?
Our 45-minute class is structured into four parts:

- Introductions (5 minutes) – We’ll start by welcoming everyone to class and saying hello!
- Story Crafting (15 minutes) – Learners will get to help build our unique story of the day, suggesting names, characters, settings, and more.
- Story Reading (20 minutes) – We’ll read the story we created together, with pauses for questions and understanding checks. Learners who would like to help read will have the chance to do so.
- Celebration & Sharing (5 minutes) – We’ll celebrate our story, share our favorite parts, and brainstorm themes for our next class.

👩‍🏫 How will you teach?
I teach by guiding learners through each part of the class with lots of encouragement and fun prompts. During story-building, I’ll give ideas and suggestions to help kids who might feel a bit shy, so everyone feels comfortable joining in. When we read, I make sure to pause for questions and check for understanding, so every learner feels connected to the story.
