Detalles: Students are expected to practice outside of class based on the prescribed weekly practice plan shared at the end of each lesson. This will typically involve daily practice, but student schedules will always be taken into consideration. In addition to playing, students may also be required to complete music theory/ear training/reading assignments outside of class as homework.
Piano (88 key acoustic is preferred in most cases, but if you are new to piano or unsure of what to use for whatever reason please reach out to me.)

Webcam or Phone/Laptop with built in camera

Stand or table to hold the camera (typically the camera will be placed at the side of the pianist, viewing the upper body, face, hands, and the whole keyboard)

Microphone or Phone/Laptop with built in mic (typically an external USB microphone such as an AT2020 or Blue Yeti will yield the best audio quality)

Notebook to write lesson and practice notes

Sheet Music Tools: Pencil, 3-ring binder, and access to a printer for printing materials (these can also be replaced with a large tablet with the ability to view and write on pdfs.)

Well-lit Quiet Area (music is one of the most complex things we can do as humans, so it’s important that we allow ourselves a space to focus as much as possible.)

In addition to these materials, certain books will need to be purchased depending on what the student already owns. The specifics of the required books are subject to change depending on what a student already owns and what is currently easily available to purchase, so please reach out to me prior to the first lesson.
