Welcome to private piano lessons with Blue Cat Music! This class will vary based on the skill level of the student. Any student from beginner to more advanced may take lessons! One-on-one interaction with the instructor will ensure students will receive constant feedback on their piano progress. The class will follow the Alfred and/or Faber Piano Adventures Piano Methods along with supplemental materials for intermediate and advanced learners. Learners will benefit from two views of the piano, one of the instructor and the keyboard, and one overhead view of the keys for easier learning. All of our teachers have over 10 years of teaching experience on piano. It is highly encouraged that learners under the age of 10 have assistance from a grown-up during class, especially during the first few lessons, or if this is their first experience learning music online. Books used in class will be recommended by instructor on or prior to first lesson. Method books we use are as follows (depending on teacher): Faber Piano Adventures (primer level for beginners) Alfred Piano Series (Book 1A lesson and recital for beginners) John Thompson Piano Series Bastien Piano Series Missed Lesson Policy: We are happy to provide make up sessions for any missed lessons where notice is given. Except for in the case of emergency, we cannot offer make up lessons for no shows. Please remember that you are not just paying for the lesson itself, but the teacher's time holding the slot open each week. Since we are holding the time especially for your learner, we are unable to give refunds or "skip" for missed lessons (unless the teacher must miss class due to an extenuating circumstance)..
