Perfeccionamiento de polinomios

Prerequisite:  Students need to be fluent in :

                        The four operations with positive and negative numbers.
                                                                 
                        The use  of the distributive property.
                                                                  
                                                                       
NOTE : Students must have a reasonable amount of academic maturity to enroll.

The way I teach this skill is very easy to learn and your child will be prepared for success in Algebra.
 I will show students how to do an exercise on the white board. They will learn  by actually doing example exercises during class. I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed until the students are ready to do the exercises by themselves. Once started, I will check their answers for accuracy and follow up with any necessary explanations. I encourage all participants to try as many exercises as possible. I follow up the class with an upload of homework with the solutions.

                             Concerning accommodations. (For students who have Math anxiety)

 I set up the chat in the class for private. So students can answer questions in the chat and only I get to see the answers.I do not call on anyone to answer questions in front of the class, I simply write an exercise on the whiteboard and encourage all to answer via the chat, again in private and I give you private feedback. This affords everyone a chance to answer   and lowers the anxiety level a ton. :)

The course breakdown is as follows:  (NOTE: Instructor reserves the right to change and modify content)
 
    Class 1:  Basic vocabulary and classification of polynomials. 
                   Adding ,subtracting, multiplying and dividing monomials. 

    Class 2:  Adding polynomials of different degrees. 
                   One variable, two variables etc

    Class 3: Subtracting polynomials . 
                  Emphasis on avoiding common pitfalls when subtracting.

    Class 4: Multiplying powers of the same base. (review)

    Class 5 :   Multiplying monomial by monomial. 
                     Multiplying a monomial by polynomials.

    Class 6:   Multiplying polynomials by polynomials.

    Class 7 :  Dividing a polynomial by a monomial.

    Class 8 :   Dividing a polynomial by a polynomial.
