In this fun and creative ongoing course students will delve into Art History!
They will learn biographical details of a number of artists and learn about their style of painting.

We will study paintings by looking at images on PowerPoint slides. Then discuss what we like about each art style and learn to show appreciation for what the artist was trying to achieve.
Students will then be taught how to replicate the skills of each artist. For some artists we will study and replicate their work over two weeks. Your student will make an individual piece of art work each week. 

Students will paint their very own artist influenced masterpiece using the skills they have learnt with myself directing them in real time as I paint alongside them. I will encourage each student to put their own personality into their work, and to be proud of what they have achieved.
Students need no prior knowledge before attending this class, and will be supported throughout the lesson as I enthusiastically encourage them to produce their very own masterpiece! I always encourage discussion, although do not insist on it. I strive for each child to feel "at home" in my class. During their time in class students will learn how to use color, shading, shape, shadows and many more artistic skills in their work.

Each class will conclude with an opportunity to show work to others (if a student wishes).
