This class is designed to help kids:
- become comfortable with creative writing (and/or drawing, if the learner wishes)
- increase their confidence in expressing their imaginative ideas on the page
- experience sharing their work with their peers
- develop listening and appreciative feedback skills
- become familiar with the basics of elements of literature

After a quick rundown of this week's topic, learners will choose from three creative writing prompts then create a story (using any combination of drawing or writing they wish) for 20-30 minutes. I will provide a basic checklist on the screen to help them stay on track, and will support them as much as needed during this independent time. We will then share our creations with each other and give each other appreciative feedback.
