Life gets busy after school, students are in clubs, activities, and sports. This class is a chance for your learner to catch up on any work in a relaxed and fun setting! This is a one to one tutoring class where we work together to gain you confidence in the next level of math! We are going to have tons of fun learning new material and working on any weaknesses your child may have! The only difference between weekend tutoring and one-to-one tutoring is that I will be working with your learner for a longer period of time! 

We will start with a quick assessment to see where you are, grade level wise, and go from there in what we will be covering! We can also cover any topics you want to cover! 

Class set up will look like:
- Start with reviewing any specific problems you would like to review
- Guided Practice
- Independent Practice and Review

My topics of expertise are: Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Middle School Mathematics, Multiplication, Subtraction, Division, and Addition, Elementary. 

I teach along side with your learner through their strengths and what interests them! I try to incorporate your child's interest into our lessons to help make the connections more clear. My main goal is to help them gain the confidence to succeed in the area they are struggling with. There is no prior knowledge necessary, you can come in and we will have some fun!

Hello! My name is Melissa McNulty and I am so excited to teach you!

I teach all sorts of math classes. I believe math is such a beautiful subject and we use it every single day, even as we grow older!  That is the one thing I enjoy most about math, the fact that we use it everyday, whether it is with our jobs, going shopping, or cooking a recipe, we use math in a variety of ways! Currently I am a 7th and 8th grade math teacher and tutor right after. I received an associates degree in Elementary Education in 2015, I then obtained my bachelors degree in Mathematics with a minor in Special Education in 2017 and then went back to school to get my license to teaching math! I received a Master's degree in Education in 2022 with a concentration in digital teaching and learning. I have a license in both Elementary and Middle School Math and have worked with many high school students in a variety of topics that include trigonometry and advanced geometry. 

I believe all students learn through hands on and engaging experiences! I create lessons that relate to their lives and I love to get to know every single on of my students. Creating these relationships is what helps me become a great teacher and to be able to connect with my students in a variety of ways.

Fun Fact: I am a retired Irish Step Dancer! I was an Irish Step Dancer for 14 years and still teach it! It is a great way to get up and moving!
