In this one-time course, learners will discuss the book: Peanut Butter and Jelly. This is the third book in the series, A Narwhal and Jelly Book series. Students should read the book or have someone read the book aloud prior to class as we will not read the book during class. I will ask questions to help aid in the discussion of the book. We will discuss the characters, setting, and events. Learners will be given the opportunity to share his/her favorite part of the story. Learners will learn facts about whales, tiger sharks, and sea cucumbers through the use of a slideshow presentation. Learners will also complete a directed drawing of a whale. 

Book clubs are a wonderful way to help children discover their love of reading. A Narwhal and Jelly Book series is fun and engaging. Students will not only laugh but also learn about friendship. This course only covers book #3 in my book club for A Narwhal and Jelly Book series. You may order the book, Peanut Butter and Jelly, from popular booksellers. Students should have their copy of the book during class.

Hello! I am Christine Booker. I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach all subject areas K-6 for regular education and special education.

I have been teaching for over 20 years. I taught sixth grade for eleven years, third grade for two years, and first grade for the past nine years. I have also taught online ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for the past three years.

I love being a teacher. It is who I am. I enjoy making learning meaningful and engaging for all students. I have experience teaching students from a wide range of ages and academic needs. I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom.
