In this fun and engaging ongoing math class students will meet twice per week to learn the beginning foundations of multiplication. Students will practice early multiplication concepts by using Equal Groups and Arrays, Repeated Addition, Equal Groups, Skip Counting and more to help them solve simple problems involving multiplication. Students will also practice learning their times tables and learn all about commutative property, factors, and products. They will also practice using these tools to solve simple word problems which will further reinforce their newly learned early multiplication skills. 

This class will be taught in a warm and friendly discussion setting in which the students will have opportunity to interact, discuss, practice and solve the math problems together as a class. 

Students do not need to know their multiplication facts to take this class but should know their addition and subtraction to second grade level. 

*This class is the same as my once weekly “Multiplication for Beginners ~ Ongoing!” class but meets 2 times per week. This class will use the zoom annotation tools so the students can work on the math problems on the screen. (Chromebook devices do not have annotation capabilities so you may wish to use another device for this class.)
