El desafío de multiplicación de los Vengadores

In this class students will earn their multiplication facts from 1-10.  We will cover all of the facts between numbers 1-10. We will start class by starting with a problem posed by one of the Avengers. i.e. Hulk knows he can lift 2 stacks of cars that each have 3 cars in each stack. How many cars can Hulk lift? (2 x 3).  Then we would explain why he can lift 6 cars:  there are 2 stacks of 3 cars. Then we would use powerpoint to examine the question and practice number 2 multiplication facts. Students will have handouts each week to help them follow along. I teach though powerpoint, discussion, and question and answer. We will also use Schoolhouse Rock Multiplication Rock videos if time. We will also play multiplication games, themed to the Avengers. My teaching style is patient and enthusiastic. Depending on how many students we have, students will have opportunity to interact with each other through our games. There is no prior knowledge needed except to follow directions. July 29 : Multiplication Facts 1,2,3's
Aug 3: Multiplication Facts 4, 5, 6's
Aug 5: Multiplication Facts 7 & 8
Aug 10: Multiplication Facts 9 & 10's
Aug 12: 1,2,3's
Aug 17: 4,5,6's
Aug 19: 7,8
Aug 23: 9, 10's

If we continue beyond this date, we will go back and start the cycle again with 1,2, and 3's.
