Now that we can play B-A-G-E-D on the recorder, it's time to add some new notes! In this class, we will add the notes F, F#, as well as high C and D. With these notes, we can now play the songs "Jingle Bells" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." We can work on learning "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten and the main theme from "Star Wars." By the end of this course, students will be able to play an eight note scale on the recorder.
During this course we will also learn how to read music notes and rhythms. Learning to read music is a skill that students will take with them throughout their lives. 

We will work at the students pace during this 6 class course. Students will need their own recorder with Baroque fingering for this course. A songbook will be provided for download. Students will use Flipgrid to demonstrate what they have learned. This gives the teacher the opportunity to hear each student and give them pointers for improvement.
Prerequisite: Let's Play the Recorder- Level 2 or prior knowledge of the notes B-A-G-E-D on the recorder. If you have any questions about if your child will meet the prerequisite, please contact the instructor.
