Experiencia de clase

Have you ever wondered what classes are out there to help you become fluent in Japanese? I know I have. Well, I have designed this five-part beginner class (and more classes to come) to help you on your journey to becoming fluent. This class will not only help you learn grammar and vocabulary efficiently and effectively but will also help you learn about the culture and the people as well.

I will put you in real-life situations where you will be encouraged to use Japanese to successfully communicate with others.

After this lesson, students will be able to:

Week 1:

-Review the Kanji that we have learned in the last lesson
  o. Read, car, thing, to make, to listen, learn
  o. Also review how combination words for example to listen and new makes the word newspaper.

Week 2:

-Learn about Past tense Short forms of verbs
-Learn why they are used
  o. For represented or quoted speech
  o. For Casual Conversations

Week 3:

1. Learn about qualifying nouns with verbs and adjectives
-Short form of verbs can be used to qualify nouns
-changing the verb into an adjective

Week 4:
-Learn the past continuous when put into the past tense actually will make it a past negative
-she is waking up can change to she has not woken up.

Week 5:
-Students have learned that kara can mean because, but it can also mean therefore. This allow the situation to change
  o. "We didn't go out, because it was cold" becomes "It was cold, therefore we did not go out."

You will definitely enjoy this class. We will play in class games, provide visual aids to help guide discussion, group discussion and real life situations to solidify what to say in certain situations. Some examples of real life situations would be what would you say if someone stepped on your foot, if someone saw your messy room how would you explain it?

I want you to feel comfortable and engaged while learning.

There is a pre-requisite. You will either need to know how to read, write and speak Hiragana and Katakana before this class or take Hiragana and Katakana classes simultaneously. You will also need to have taken Road to Fluency Beginner Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 or know all the material in this class.

Please bring an open mind and be ready to learn.

Please note: "All material will be presented via PowerPoint and screen shared by the teacher. The games will also be screen shared by the teacher. Learners will not click links, access outsides websites, or need to login to any accounts."
