Escritura creativa: creación de mundos de fantasía y ciencia ficción

This is an ongoing, once weekly writing club for learners who need a creative outlet for their fantasy and sci-fi stories. In class, I will give a different writing prompt each week and learners will have 20 minutes of class time (perhaps more, if the students really need it!) to write a short story inspired by that prompt. The fun challenge will be to use the prompt in an innovative way in the stories they come up with. For example, one week's prompt may simply be "apples", and so, in their stories, apples will have to creatively find a way to be relevant. After the 20-minute writing period, learners will share what they wrote with the class. (However - sharing is not required if the learner would rather not!) 

Primarily in this class, prompts will be focused on topics that will help learners flesh out the fantasy or sci-fi worlds that they would like to build (or have already built!). We will cover a wide array of subjects that are certain to specify all the minute details of these new and interesting universes.

Upcoming prompts include: 

Week of October 17th: An ordinary teen wakes up one day to find that their latent superpowers have been awakened. 
Week of October 24th: People keep disappearing upon entering this seemingly normal place. 
Week of October 31st: An ancient burial ground has been unearthed as a city was being built, but the bodies seem... not human.
Week of November 7th: This old witch/warlock is about to write their will. What will they include?
