In this ongoing class, students will learn about an element each week. Students will be able to share information or questions if they want. We will discuss the history of the element, discovery, chemical properties, and uses. Each week we will discuss different elements, properties of the table, etc. This class is for those students who enjoy chemistry and want to learn more about the periodic table. In this ongoing class, we'll discuss new elements each week, review the structure of the table, and play games. Feel free to join when you can.

Hello!
UPDATE: I am taking a break from Outschool. After the spring semester of 2024 ends, I will take a hiatus.
I offer a variety of science and math classes. I have close to ten years of teaching experience. I've worked with students of all ages including young adults. I experience teaching in the classroom and teaching virtually. I have a B.A. from Louisiana State University.
I've helped tutoring student reach their goals whether it's to pass a standardized test or get a passing grade in a course.
I think that a basic understanding of science enhances one's life. It opens up a world hidden to most people. Studying science and math helps children to develop critical thinking skills that can be applied to all areas of life. My goal in all my classes is to inspire the students to study science. I want them to always ask questions and to stay curious.
Please reach out to me if you don't see a time that works for your child. I will try to be accommodating if it is possible.
When I am not teaching or prepping for classes, I enjoy crafting, reading, working out, and spending time with my dog.
