This fun & exciting Science Preparatory Camp takes a modified, thematic approach to 3rd Grade Science. The students will be introduced to the major themes in 3rd grade science. This camp will provide your rising 3rd grader with a head start in the upcoming school year. In addition, these concepts will also better equip your child when they take their state test this year. The following topics will be discussed:
Week 1 - Inheritance & Variation of Traits
Week 2 - Natural Selection
Week 3 - Static Electricity
Week 4 - Forces & Interaction
Week 5 - Balanced & Unbalanced Forces
Week 6 - Extreme Weather
Week 7 - Climate & Life in the Biomes

Different modes of instruction will be used. The students will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, independent reading, and open-ended questions. Students will learn about genetics & heredity and natural selection.
