The road to reading!! Reading can be difficult for early learners, but there is help! My reading tutoring program is designed to provide individualized support to help every child gain understanding and confidence. This class is specifically for students in grades Kindergarten through Second grade. 

This class will cover key topics such as letter and sound recognition, phonics, fluency, vocabulary development, writing, story elements, and comprehension.  

Class is structured in a 50-minute session, which includes a check-in (5 minutes), review from the previous class (10 minutes), direct instruction (15 minutes), guided practice (10 minutes), check-out (5 minutes), and next steps (5 minutes). In the very first session, there will be a diagnostic test to identify students' beginning level. I will teach using hands-on activities, slides, whiteboards, interactive activities, and videos.

 My teaching style includes interactive learning, where students are active participants through call-and-response and using their voices. It also includes differentiated instruction, where the instruction is tailored and accommodates the child and their learning needs. The use of different strategies will be a huge asset in helping students reach their full potential.
