Are you looking to provide your little learner with one-on-one instruction to help practice, review, and refresh important foundational skills? Are you wanting your child to have so much fun that they don't even realize they are learning? If so, then this course may be for you! 

This class is all about your learner. I will provide individualized instruction that is personalized and tailored to fit the needs of your child. I want you and your child to be completely involved in the creation of each tutoring session. Soon after you enroll your child in my class, I will be in touch with you. I would love for you to let me know what your child's strengths and areas of concern are. Please let me know what you would like our areas of focus to be. Our sessions can be purely math-based, reading-based, or a combination of both areas. I would also love to get to know your child on a personal level and incorporate their individual interests in each session. If your child is interested in Unicorns and Mermaids, you can guarantee each lesson will be filled with magic. If your child likes dinosaurs, you can expect to hear us roaring and stomping while we are learning.

I can provide your child with practice on any of the following skills. These skills can include, but are definitely not limited to:

-Segmenting/Blending Sounds
-Beginning, Middle, Ending Sound identification
-CVC Words
-Sight Words

Hi! My name is Emily. I have been married for 7 years. We have two precious boys. I have had a passion for teaching since I was a little girl. I was the kid that lined up her dolls and gave them homework. 

I received my B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Gordon College in 2012. I received my M.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College in 2015. I have 7 years of formal classroom experience. I spent 1 year teaching in Pre-K and I taught Kindergarten for 6 years. I am currently an online ESL teacher to students across the world. 

My number one goal is for my students to leave my classroom feeling more enriched than when they entered. I believe learning should be relevant and fun. I am a huge believer in play-based learning. I believe hands-on learning sparks creativity and enriches the imagination. I have a passion for teaching beginner math and literacy skills. I enjoy teaching around themes that are interesting and make students excited about learning. 

I offer a wide variety of classes. My classes will teach and enhance beginner math and literacy skills, while also sparking the imagination through intentional play. I love to incorporate crafts, songs, movement, and even edible "crafts" to make learning more concrete. My classroom will always be inviting, interactive, and engaging. I am so excited to meet your child. I cannot wait to be apart of your child's educational journey!
