In this course, students will learn the "Oreo" writing method and gain skills for writing an opinion-style essay. Students will practice identifying the correct and incorrect ways of the Oreo format and write their own opinion paragraph!

Class Experience

*Disclaimer: This class is intended for students who demonstrate moderate writing skills. Students should understand paragraph structure.*

Students will learn the `Oreo` opinion essay writing strategy: 
O = Opinion
R = Reasoning
E = Explain
O = Opinion (restate)

Students will learn how to:
- Express their opinions in writing 
- Identify opinions in written essays
- Use graphic organizers with prompting instructions to help construct the overall message of opinion essays
