Writing and Reading Workshop (5th and 6th Grade)

Each week we will go over a text and focus on a strategy. The Gradual Release of Responsibility Model will be used meaning each strategy will be modelled by me through a "focus lesson", then we will do a guided instruction where we model the strategy together and lastly, each student will have a chance to use the strategy on their own! We will use graphic organizers and other tools to help student engagement and understanding.
