This class helps fifth and sixth graders strengthen their ELA skills in reading, writing, and grammar. It provides support for both students who need extra help and those looking to enhance their everyday learning. Your learner will gain confidence in their abilities while learning in an engaging, interactive environment. ✍️

Week of October 16- Reading- We will examine a fictional text.  

Week of October 23- Writing- We will work on descriptive writing. 

Week of October 30- Figures of Speech - We will learn the figures of speech.

Week of November 6- Writing- Character creation. 

Week of November 13- Poetry- Cinquain poetry.

Week of November 20- Reading- We will work on the sequence of events. 

Week of November 27- Reading- We will examine fictional short stories.

Week of December 4- Reading- We will learn about finding the main idea and details. 

Week of December 11- Writing - We will write pro/con paragraphs.  

Week of December 18- Reading- We will learn about claims and reasons.

Week of January 8- Writing- Letter writing about the year ahead.   

Week of January 15- Reading- We will learn about inferences and conclusions.
