Class Experience
In this class we will work on public speaking using would you rather questions such as would you rather be stuck at home all day with no entertainment or go out into a very crowded space but have unlimited data to entertain yourself and why? Each week you will have multiple options to choose from. On Sunday of each week I will post each option and you will pick one you want to do. By Wednesday of each week I want you to post a 1 to 2 minute video response under the option you picked. Then by Friday I want everyone to give constructive criticism on at least 3 other classmates. I will view each video and give my own feedback. The goal is as you progress not to use filler words such as like and umm. Also to gain more confidence and be able to look directly into the camera. I know how scary taking a speech class can be which is why I have chosen to have this class be flexible so that you can retape yourself until you are happy with your video and not feel like you are just being stared at. If you are more comfortable I am also offering this class as a live format class.

Hi my name is Cassi Gardei. I am a mother of 4 awesome kids, 1 girl and 3 boys. I was a preschool teacher for 6 years in a brick and mortar school and was a professional driving instructor for the state of California for 4 years until Covid hit. I have been working with Outschool since Covid started and am a resource teacher for elementary school in California. Working with children is my passion and helping them learn and understand everything in new and exciting ways, especially with music for the younger kiddos. I have a bachelor's degree in Mild to Moderate Special Education and am going back to school for my masters degree in English Language Learners.
I am looking forward to working with your kids in many areas. My favorite subjects were math and science growing up but I teach a multitude of classes from cooking to preschool to core subjects and even Kahoot games. Please do not hesitate to ask me anything, anytime, it comes straight to my phone and I will respond as soon as I can.
