I work in a Bioastronautics and Human Performance laboratory that studies the various effects of spaceflight on the body. Primarily, I focus on ambulation (walking-patterns) associated with coordinated movement on the surface of the moon and mars. Additionally, I have assisted with various other research projects involving fluid-shifts that occur in the body due to gravitational changes. I have several years of experience teaching space-related topics to children and teens and love sharing my knowledge of human spaceflight with students. In the near future, I will be attending graduate school within the Bioastronautics/Aerospace Engineering fields and hope to work in NASA’s Mission Control.
