Curriculum (What I'll be teaching in the classroom):
-Building Vocabulary Skills in an engaging way.

Instruction:
Literacy: We will practice writing words and using words in a sentence. 

Art: Draw to show understanding of vocabulary words. 

*The list of words will be based on your child's age and or grade level.

Requirements:
-Knowing how to read(recommended) and use zoom tools (recommended)
-Participate
-Communicate
-Do activities
-Have materials ready to be used


Online Rules:
-Learners can use tablet or computer.
-Learners can eat, drink and use the restroom.
-Learners can leave early if work is completed.

Learning Goals

-Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases.
-Use sentence-level context as a clue to the meaning of a word or phrase.
-Demonstrate understanding of word relationships and nuances in word meanings.
-Identify real-life connections between words and their use (e.g., describe foods that are spicy or juicy).
-Use words and phrases acquired through conversations, reading and being read to, and responding to texts, including using adjectives and adverbs to describe (e.g., When other kids are happy that makes me happy).

We will use Nearpod for slides, discussions and mini games. No login is required because it will be shared through my screen.
