In this monthly, self-paced escape room, students will explore how creativity and innovation drive global progress. Through interactive challenges, they’ll strengthen problem-solving skills, analyze real-world data, and apply creative thinking to global issues. By the end, students will have developed a deeper understanding of how creative solutions impact sustainability, economic growth, and problem-solving worldwide.

🌍 What topics will I cover?
The role of creativity and innovation in global development
Problem-solving and critical thinking strategies
Real-world applications of innovation in sustainability and economics
Literacy skills through word puzzles, data analysis, and reflection writing

🛠 How is the class structured?
Introduction: Students receive their mission briefing as young UN investigators.
Escape Room Challenges: A series of interactive puzzles, including:
- A haiku challenge connecting creativity and global issues
- A data-driven riddle that explores real-world innovation
- An acronym anagram puzzle revealing key global themes
- Final Reflection: Learners complete a call-to-action project, applying their insights to a real-world challenge.
Self-Paced Learning: Students work through the materials at their own speed with interactive Google Forms, multimedia resources, and discussion prompts.

Monthly: This activity will be available until the end of April. New activity coming in May!

💬 How much will learners get to interact with me?
Since this is a self-paced course, direct interaction with the instructor is minimal, but students will receive:
Guided feedback on final reflection projects (if submitted)
Instructor support via messages for any questions or challenges

Learning Needs
Flexible Pacing: Students can complete the escape room at their own speed, ideal for different learning styles. Multiple Ways to Engage: Activities include a mix of text, multimedia, & interactive elements to support diverse learners.
Parental Guidance
This escape room is designed to be student-led and does not require parental supervision. However, parents may wish to support their learners by: - Encouraging discussions about creativity, innovation, and global issues. - Assisting with research if students want to explore topics further for their final project. - Ensuring access to a device with internet connectivity to complete interactive activities. All content is age-appropriate, but students will be analyzing real-world innovations related to sustainability and economic growth. No sensitive or controversial topics are covered.
Pre-Requisites
Basic reading and analytical skills (Grade 7+ reading level) Ability to work independently and follow digital instructions Interest in puzzles, problem-solving, and global issues (no prior knowledge needed!)
Supply List
To complete this self-paced escape room, students will need:
- A device with internet access (computer, tablet, or Chromebook recommended)
- Notebook or digital notes app for brainstorming and reflection activities
- Pen/pencil for jotting down clues and solving puzzles (if preferred)
- Headphones (optional, for multimedia content)
All course materials, including puzzles, videos, and reflection prompts, are provided digitally—no additional purchases are required!
