Students will read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Students will practice reading comprehension skills in response to weekly discussion questions. Students will practice their speaking and listening skills by engaging in class discussions.
I am a certified elementary teacher with most of my experience in the upper elementary grades. I have taught Harry Potter to my classes for the past 9 years and I have also run after school Harry Potter clubs for the past 5 years. Students in other grades are request to be in my class so they can read Harry Potter and it always the most exciting time of year for my students!
Students need to have their own copy of the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The Harry Potter series gets progressively darker as the series goes on. Please be advised that topics such as death and grief are covered in this book.
