Description
Class Experience
For more than three years, I have connected with Outschool learners through literature, poetry, writing, and vocabulary. My weekly vocabulary sessions have been immensely popular. However, I often encounter older students who want a true challenge. Thus was born this class! Underpinning this passion for writing is a strong writing background. For years I worked as a professional journalist for newspapers, magazines, and various freelance and online publications. I also hold dual degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Journalism and French literature.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents, two optional third-party resources for use after class are Quizlet and Nearpod, neither of which require an account to join. Quizlet does not require any identifying information from the student. Nearpod can also be used anonymously.
