Let's travel to South Korea to learn about LINE FRIENDS and the Uber popular "universtar" characters. These adorable figures have captivated the imaginations of fans worldwide and now have their own stores throughout the world and are featured on Netflix. Originally designed by Kang Byeong Mok and released in 2015, the South Korean boy group BTS added to the popularity of Line friends with the creation of 8 new characters belonging to a project called BT21 that was launched in 2017.
Follow along with me as I recreate some of the adorable BT21 characters, and branch out to design your own character, too!

My classes are relaxed experiences, where learners are welcome to ask questions and make comments as we learn together. Follow me step by step as I create a work of art based on our class subject, or branch out to produce an entirely individual creation inspired by our discussion. Children are welcome to share their artwork with the class as we work together.

Some students who work at a slower pace may not fully complete their masterpiece in the time permitted for this class and will want to finalize their piece after the live video has ended. This is perfectly normal!

Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee! My name is Ms. Aimée and I am an Art Teacher, Art Historian, and World Traveler. I love to share the JOY of learning about travel, history, art, language and culture with my students! Each art lesson is a journey that reveals a "glimpse in time" at the artwork produced by a specific artist or group of artists/architects and the cultural, geographical and historical factors that coalesced to result in the creation of these world treasures, followed by an art project. My French lessons are engaging, fun sessions that offer a way to learn about French language AND French culture worldwide.

I have 16 years experience teaching a range of ages and people from all backgrounds. I greatly enjoy interacting with children of all ages--pre-school, elementary, middle, and high school students as a traveling art teacher offering classes both in person and online.

Prior to working with children, I taught Art History Courses at Belmont University for 6 years. These classes included basic Art History and Art Experience lessons, as well as seminars on Greek and Roman Art and Architecture; The History of Photography; art history lessons conducted in French for the French Department on subjects such as the "Renaissance Chateaux of the Loire Valley" and "Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Art" among other special interviews and campus lectures.

I earned my BA in French Language from Belmont University and my MA in the History of Art from Vanderbilt University.

Students should leave our class feeling excited about the world around them and all the possibilities that come from learning about different cultures and art!

I was fortunate to complete many study abroad courses during my undergraduate and graduate years. Among those, I am most proud of my intensive French language course at the internationally renowned CIDEF in Angers, France, and studies of Baroque Art and Architecture, Russian Icons, and German and Russian languages in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Russia.
I have since traveled to more than 15 other countries in order to immerse myself in art and culture.
