Description

Class Experience

Students will develop social skills such as eye contact, empathy, body language, and conversation skills. As individuals identifying as the core audience for this course vary widely in their strengths and weaknesses, we will tailor specific learning goals based on the overall make-up of our group once formed.
I am a Drama Therapist (in training), Therapeutic Art Life Coach, and Autism Movement Therapist. I have worked in the area of Special Education for 15 years and have previously served as Program Director in a sensory and motor integration clinic and the Education Director for an adolescent group home. My professional training includes NCI-CPI, Applied Behavior Analysis, and graduate research in how the arts function within PBIS model schools.

Recommended to have a small space in which to move. You will want enough space to spread the arms out completely to both sides and front to back, and for those who can stand it is helpful to have enough room to take 1-2 large steps in all directions. Specific footwear not necessary, but barefoot or sneakers are preferable to a backless sandal or flip flop.
